And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. (Acts 2:17-18)
At our first songwriting retreat, we gathered our worship leaders and sought God for His heart for the church. If intercession is agreeing with what God says He will do, then this song declares God’s heart and invites us to enter into His desire for His people. As Riverlife enters into a season of consecration and redigging the wells, may this song become the cry of our hearts: God won’t You do it again!

Lyrics
VERSE 1
I see Your hand of revival
Sweeping across this land
I feel the wind of Your Spirit
You’re bringing new life again
And in these days You will pour out
Your Spirit on all flesh
Oh won’t You come like You promised
God, won’t You do it again?
CHORUS
God we ask in faith
For every generation
Reveal Your heart, Your ways
Let Your fire fall
Your presence go before us
Send revival as we pray
VERSE 2
I hear a cry of salvation
Calling the wayward home
Your sons and daughters awaken
And destinies will unfold
I know the harvest is ready
The fields are white in the world
Pray to the Lord of the Harvest
God, won’t You do it again?
BRIDGE
Every mountain will be moved
And every giant fall
We will declare the victory
In the name of the Lord of Hosts
Every kingdom will bow down
And every tongue confess
Jesus the name above all names
Nothing can stand against
“I hear a cry of salvation / calling the wayward home / Your sons and daughters awaken / and destinies will unfold”
As the Church continues to behold Jesus, we will begin to reveal Him to the world and His heart that leaves the ninety-nine for the one. As we reflect His nature, a cry will resound, calling the lost home into the Father’s house, where true purpose and destiny is found. I love this lyric because it captures the start and end of worship: we worship, He responds by drawing many to Himself, and then they begin to worship, and the cycle continues.
